Senior Analyst, Scientific Innovation, Consumer
Elizabeth (Liz) Wu is a Senior Analyst, Consumer Scientific Innovation at Johnson & Johnson Innovation. In this role, she sources, screens, and evaluates opportunities of high strategic value and assists in developing an industry-leading portfolio of Consumer innovation solutions across Western North America.
Liz comes to Johnson & Johnson Innovation from L’Oréal, where she held positions of increasing responsibility including Associate Principal Scientist at L’Oréal’s California Research Center in San Francisco. In this role, her primary responsibility was to evaluate and establish external collaborations in line with L’Oréal’s R&D strategy and to assess the translational potential of emerging technology for applications in cosmetics, skin and hair care. Prior to L’Oréal, Liz completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, a member of A*STAR’s biomedical sciences institutes in Singapore, where her research focused on the development and characterization of self-assembling peptide hydrogels for tissue engineering applications.
Liz earned her B.S. in Bioengineering from University of California, Berkeley, and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Bioengineering from University of California, San Diego.
